Our Approach

At Peak School, we pride ourselves on respectful relationships built on trust. This ensures that our children can be the best that they can be as they are kind, feel safe, and are happy, learning and engaged.

We do not teach a curriculum or syllabus, we teach children.

We believe that students must acquire skills and attitudes that will meet the needs of the 21st century, now and into the future. We have a responsibility to ensure that students are inspired and challenged every day. In educating the whole child, we support the individual needs of each student and value their unique contribution to our school.

Curriculum

We are an IB World School, which means that the basis of our curriculum is the IB Primary Years programme (PYP). This programme allows children to learn about the world around them. To be inquisitive, curious, and interested in not just finding answers, but also in asking questions.

Student Support & Wellbeing

At Peak School we put the health, happiness and wellbeing of our students at the heart of everything that we do. It is important to us that our students feel safe and happy and are kind to each other.

The Peak School team of teachers and educational assistants work with each of our students to understand their needs and to help them develop essential skills they need to navigate through their daily lives.

Parent Partnership

Every parent wants the best for their child - and one of the most common questions we receive is 'What can I do to support my child in their learning?' At Peak School, we believe that working together with parents makes our school community stronger, which is why parents are invited to play an active role in their child's education. Throughout the year, we provide numerous opportunities for parents to meet teachers, learn about their child's progress, and acquire helpful tools to support their children through various stages of their educational journey.

Parents are a vital part of our school life - they help in classrooms, join us on field trips, and get involved in lots of fun activities. We also work with local organisations and charities to help our students learn about important issues in Hong Kong and around the world. This partnership approach ensures that learning extends beyond the classroom and creates a rich, supportive environment for our students.

Specialist Provision

At Peak School, we are committed to an inquiry-based teaching and learning approach, where children explore and discover using real-world examples in a range of subject areas. We believe that learning in a conceptual and transdisciplinary way helps students grow into well-rounded individuals with a wealth of transferable skills. Our specialist subjects are important to us. The variety of provision enriches the learning experience for your child and, of course, can help them grow and find their passions.
